Wouldn't we all love to feel again the pure childlike joy we were born with? Believe it or not, we actually can through the daily practice of expressing sincere gratitude.
Gratitude is magical. Daily expressions of gratitude have the power to infuse our lives with true inner peace and the ability to meet the challenges that come our way with grace, patience and wisdom. In short, gratitude gives us hope for a better tomorrow. Sound too simplistic to be true? Believe me, I was skeptical too!
The first “Gratitude Challenge” I accepted in 2010, just to humor a friend, quite literally turned my life around and set me back on a path to peace, joy and hope from a year of multiple personal setbacks.
This amazingly simple practice truly can be life changing!
In a nutshell, all you have to do is record at least one thing you are grateful for on a daily basis for 30 days in a row. (to create the habit)
You can use a journal, a notebook, sticky notes, a phone app, whatever is simple for you and your lifestyle. You just need to commit to do it for a month.
Then sit back and watch the magic happen, ask your friends or co-workers if they've noticed a difference in your happiness or attitude if you need objective insight.
It has changed my life and gotten me through many a challenge since, I hope it will do the same for you!
